For us at Universal Art Group (UAG), this year's Frankfurt Book Fair was all about exchange, encounters and innovation.
Universal Art Group at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 – Tradition meets innovation

The publishers Kulturalis, Verlag Müller & Schindler, Faksimile Verlag, Eikon Editores and Haltadefinizione presented us under one roof. Together, we demonstrated how tradition and innovation can combine to form a strong foundation – with a passion for book art, digital technologies and cultural dialogue.
Our values and our mission
Universal Art Group combines perfect craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technologies. Our core values shape each and every one of our projects:
- Tradition & innovation – the finest craftsmanship meets state-of-the-art technologies.
- Digitalisation – we work with high-resolution gigapixel technologies to capture and preserve works of art in impressive quality.
- Specialist publishing services – tailor-made publication projects for museums, libraries and cultural institutions worldwide, including international distribution.
- Intercultural exchange – we promote exchange between cultures and eras by making art and cultural heritage accessible worldwide.
Our portfolio includes facsimile editions, art books, museum catalogues, replicas, digitisation projects as well as the development of exhibitions including cultural content.
A successful first day at the fair – visit from the Frankfurter Rundschau
On the very first day of the fair, we welcomed some special guests: Andreas Hartmann and Renate Hoyer from the Frankfurter Rundschau visited our stand and were enthusiastic about our holistic approach to bringing art and book culture into the present.
‘At the stand of publisher Charlotte Kramer and the Universal Art Group, based in Lower Bavaria, Madrid and London, bibliophiles will certainly find themselves breathless.’
Emotional highlight: the unboxing of Antidespairant
A particularly moving moment was the unboxing of Natalka Marynchak's book Antidespairant, published by Kulturalis.
The Ukrainian author was present at our stand and was visibly delighted to receive the first copies of her work. In an emotional gesture, she signed the freshly printed books with very personal words.
Tradition & encounters: our fair aperitif on Thursday
The traditional UAG aperitif on Thursday evening is a fixed part of our agenda – and this year it was once again a resounding success. Colleagues, partners and friends of book art came together over fine drinks and stimulating conversation.
In a relaxed atmosphere, we celebrated not only new projects, but also a special anniversary:
🎉 60 years of Verlag Müller & Schindler – a milestone that honoured the long tradition of our company and invited many guests to raise a glass.
The evening was made even more special by the visit of Czech poet Petr Hruška, author of the work I Caught Sight of My Face, published by Kulturalis. He had already presented his newly published book at last year's book fair (→ Review of 2024), and this time he enjoyed the evening in convivial company.
The aperitif provided an opportunity for inspiring encounters, new contacts and discussions about future projects – an evening that will be remembered.
New facsimile editions: masterpieces in perfection
Another highlight of our trade fair appearance was the presentation of our latest facsimile editions – outstanding examples of the combination of historical authenticity and technical innovation:

Les Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry
One of the most famous books of hours in the world, a masterpiece of 15th-century illumination, reproduced in detail in the highest quality. The facsimile will be published early next year.

Selected Masterpieces by Michelangelo
To mark the 550th birthday of the Renaissance genius, we have published a selection of the artist's most beautiful and famous sketches in an exclusive special edition.

The Codex Cocharelli
A Latin manuscript on virtues and vices written in Genoa in the early 14th century, originally created for the Cocharelli family. For the first time, we are now combining the fragments preserved in London, Cleveland and Florence into a complete facsimile edition.
Each of these editions represents our goal of preserving the cultural heritage of humanity in all its beauty and making it accessible to all.
Thanks to our team – and to all visitors
We look back with great pride on a successful week at the fair: intensive discussions, inspiring contacts, exciting new collaborations and many wonderful encounters.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the entire UAG team, whose passion, expertise and dedication ensure that our presence at the fair is a special event every year. We would also like to thank our partners, authors and all visitors – you all make the Frankfurt Book Fair a place of encounter, creativity and joy for us.
We are already looking forward to the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026 – with new projects, new ideas and the same enthusiasm for art, books and culture.
