Universal Art Group - the new umbrella brand
Universal Art Group is the new umbrella brand that unites the entire portfolio and expertise of a growing team, alongside an expanding range of services and publishing activities.
To better and more clearly represent all areas of activity that have complemented and enhanced the traditional publishing programme over the years - in collaboration with international partners - the Universal Art Group brand has been established. Here you will find all our cultural and artistic endeavours—a wide spectrum of activities that have naturally evolved and expanded over time, perfectly complementing our facsimile editions.
The world of art under one roof
Art is able to trigger emotions and thought processes in us through a unique interplay of shapes, colours, sounds, movements and words. Artistic expression stimulates and moves, provides a basis for an understanding exchange and thus for mutual respectful interaction between people. The most diverse forms of artistic expression – created across centuries, cultures and continents – are at the centre of our entrepreneurial activities, which have now found a common home in the Universal Art Group (UAG).
Our goal is clear:
to preserve, prepare, make accessible and disseminate the diverse and impressive facets of art and its content across space and time. We want to universally pass on the enthusiasm that we experience in our work with art. Our multidisciplinary team from a wide range of disciplines lives and loves art and is uncompromisingly committed to the highest quality. Our expertise and passion also aims to awaken and deepen your enthusiasm for art while protecting and preserving the priceless originals of our world cultural heritage.

The word facsimile comes from Latin: fac simile = make it similar.
A facsimile is an exact reproduction of a manuscript or book. An exact reproduction requires that all visible characteristics of the original—colors, gold, silver, as well as signs of aging or irregularities—are also visible in the facsimile. Facsimiles are generally produced in limited editions worldwide. Facsimile editions differ from any other book not only through their technically and artistically perfect realization, but the facsimile should also capture and convey the spirit and aura of the original.
