Inspiring Encounters, Promising Projects and Memorable Moments

The 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair has come to an end, and we look back on an eventful few days filled with engaging conversations, new contacts and promising projects. At our stand, we - the Universal Art Group - presented a selection of publications and facsimile editions together with our partners. Highlights included the presentation of our forthcoming edition of the Nibelungenlied and a Czech book launch celebration, marked in traditional style with fine Austrian Muscat sparkling wine.

The Nibelungenlied: A Masterpiece Takes Shape

One of the highlights of our presence at the fair was the presentation of the Nibelungenlied, part of the Magic Moments of Mankindseries, a fine art book published by Müller & Schindler.

The edition is currently undergoing its final refinements and is scheduled for publication by the end of 2026. With this project, we turn our attention to one of the most significant works in German literary history. The anticipation surrounding this forthcoming publication was tangible throughout the fair.

The conversations sparked by the work once again demonstrated the enduring interest in important historical texts and their presentation through high-quality editions. Our aim remains to preserve cultural heritage with the utmost care and make it accessible to present and future generations.

A Book Launch in the Czech Tradition

With the Czech Republic as Guest of Honour at this year's Frankfurt Book Fair, this special occasion carried additional significance. We were particularly honoured to have the opportunity to present Czech Interwar Modern at our stand and celebrate the publication with a book launch following Czech tradition.

Published by Kulturalis, the book explores Czech art between the two World Wars, from 1918 to 1938, offering a multifaceted insight into the various movements of modernism. It reveals the diversity of the Czech art scene during this period and its connections with wider international developments.

The celebration followed Czech custom, accompanied by fine Austrian Muscat sparkling wine. In a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, the launch provided an opportunity to celebrate the publication and Czech book culture, exchange ideas and raise a glass to this special project.

A Reception Among Friends

On Thursday, we welcomed guests to our now much-loved reception among friends during the fair. The event was very well attended and provided a welcome opportunity to step away from the bustle of the exhibition halls, reconnect with familiar faces and meet new people.

The lively conversations and relaxed atmosphere highlighted just how valuable personal encounters are to our work. In an increasingly digital world, face-to-face exchanges remain an important starting point for new ideas, collaborations and shared projects.

We are delighted by the warm response and grateful that so many guests joined us for an enjoyable occasion filled with conversation and conviviality.

Bringing Cultures and Generations Together

At the Universal Art Group, our ambition is not only to bring cultures together, but also to build bridges between generations. Once again, the Frankfurt Book Fair provided a wonderful setting for this exchange.

One particularly stimulating conversation brought together Andrej Pfeiffer-Perkuhn from Geschichtsfenster and Professor Eberhard König to discuss the celebrated Hours of Étienne Chevalier, created by the French painter and illuminator Jean Fouquet. When two distinguished experts and leading figures in their respective fields meet, the resulting dialogue opens up new perspectives and brings the fascination of cultural heritage to life in a special way.

Encounters such as these demonstrate the value of sharing knowledge, experience and enthusiasm across generations – and of keeping our cultural heritage alive through dialogue and discovery.

Our Team: Success Through Collaboration

A successful presence at a trade fair is always the result of a collective effort. Behind the intensive days at the fair are many people whose commitment, expertise and support make everything possible.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our entire team, as well as to all colleagues, partners and everyone who supported us before, during and after the Frankfurt Book Fair. From preparations and organisation to looking after our stand and managing the many tasks behind the scenes, every contribution mattered.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our presence at the fair possible. We could not have done it without you!

Looking Ahead with Fresh Inspiration

The 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair has once again demonstrated the importance of exchange within the international book and cultural sectors. We take away valuable inspiration from the intensive days, fruitful conversations and promising projects.

At the Universal Art Group, we bring together traditional bookmaking and exceptional craftsmanship with innovative technologies and new approaches to cultural communication. Together with our partners, we will continue to preserve significant works of art and cultural heritage and bring them closer to audiences around the world.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, our business partners and our friends for their interest, trust and inspiring conversations.

We look forward to seeing you again – and to many more projects together!
